United Pacific Industries (UPI) has introduced its new HighwayShield Grille Guard line, built to provide reliable protection against front-end contact with animals, road debris, and minor collisions, the company said.
Constructed from 304 premium stainless steel, every HighwayShield Grille Guard features tilt-forward access, with select models offering a matte black finish or radar compatibility for modern safety systems.
“The all-new lineup of HighwayShield Grille Guards combines bold style with practical functionality -- catering to various lifestyles of truckers," said UPI President of Global Sales Chris Bischoff. Bischoff noted that more than 150 grille guard kits are available for Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo and International trucks.
HighwayShield guards are designed with the following features:
- Durable construction -- Constructed from 3″ diameter 304 stainless steel tubes, the grille guard ensures durability and maintains a brilliant shine, even after years of use. Available in a Matte Black finish on select models.
- Tilt-forward access -- Designed for convenience, the included bracket set allows the grille guard to tilt forward, granting easy access to the bumper, grille, and headlights while clearing the hood during opening.
- Radar compatible -- The R Series grille guards are specifically engineered for select makes and models, offering wider lower spacing to seamlessly integrate with electronic sensors, radar, and VORAD (vehicle onboard radar) systems. Radar-compatible HighwayShield Grille Guards apply exclusively to models with the R Series designation: I20 R Series, I25 , I85 and I95.
The HighwayShield Grille Guard’s bracket kit is precision-engineered for easy and secure installation on every truck, UPI said. Installation is straightforward with OEM tow hook receivers. The installation manual and more product details are available on UPI's website.
