‘Silent Night’: Christmas song No. 5

The closer we get to Christmas the more the top songs trend toward the “reason for the season,” as they say.

This famous carol, originally written in the early 1800s (the original German version titled “Stille Nacht, heilige Nach” and its lyrics composed by a Parish priest) in part retells the tale of the virgin birth. 

Here’s a nice version sung by contemporary country singer Kelly Clarkson.
