In the video above, several truck drivers in attendance for Monday’s “ELD Media Blitz” rallies voice their concerns over the electronic logging device mandate and issues the mandate will cause for drivers.
As reported by Overdrive Monday, drivers gathered at sites around the country to raise media and public awareness about ELDs and how they will affect the trucking industry when the mandate goes into effect on Dec. 18.
The rallies drew the attention of local media in many cases, and in Baytown, Texas, Rep. Brian Babin made an appearance to show his support for the movement. Babin has introduced legislation that would delay the implementation of the mandate for two more years “until we can work these bugs out,” he said.
