I wrote this song in honor of my dad who drove for over 50 years and who taught me how to drive. The last truck that I bought I had Livin’ The Dream lettered on my sleeper as being a truck driver was all I dreamed about doing from the time I could remember. For many of us long-haul drivers it’s one of two things: livin’ the dream or living nightmare. For me it’s the former rather than the latter. I hope you all enjoy hearing it as much as I enjoyed writing and performing it.
