The fifth annual Overdrive-Red Eye Radio’s Trucker Talent Search is still accepting entries from truckers who love to sing. The singing contest culminates with a live contest featuring three finalists, held at The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas in August. The first-place winner receives a $1,000 cash prize, plus a recording session courtesy AxleOutPro.
One trucker, Justin Bowman, recorded and submitted a video of a Lynyrd Skynyrd song, “All I Can Do Is Write About It.” Bowman says his uncle played it for him when Bowman was 13. “This is one of my all time favorites,” he says.
