Comment period opens for OOIDA’s request to exempt small business truckers from ELD mandate
OOIDA has asked the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to exempt small businesses (defined by the Small Business Administration as those with up to $27.5 million a year in revenue) who have no at-fault crashes on their record and who have a “Satisfactory” or “Conditional” from the ELD mandate.

ELD protest enters third day in Miami
A group of drivers and owner-operators have shut down along U.S. 27 near the Florida 826 interchange in greater Miami through the end of the day today, at least, in protest of the electronic logging device mandate. Others have joined in around the country.
