FMCSA done studying drivers for 34-hour restart report, funding stopgap won’t affect ‘rollback’
FMCSA collected data for five months on two groups of drivers: One abiding by pre-2013 rules and one following the 2013 requirements. It will now begin analyzing the data it gathered and could produce a report by year’s end.

‘Restart snapback?’ Will FMCSA try to reinstitute 2013 restart rules after Sept. 30?
The current stay of enforcement of the 2013-implemented rules governing truckers’ use of a 34-hour hours-of-service restart could be removed as soon as Sept. 30, 2015, according to the text of the law that temporarily suspended the rules.
