FMCSA grants 30-minute break exemption to certain concrete pump drivers
The exemption requests stated pump operators take breaks throughout the day, so the extra 30-minute break is unnecessary. Additionally, ACPA said in the request that concrete pump drivers only drive approximately 25 to 32 percent of their shift, and average less than 20 to 25 miles each day.

FMCSA puts final nail in the coffin for restart regs
FMCSA confirmed the 2013 regulations on the 34-hour restart will not go back into effect. Not only did the drivers operating under the more restrictive regulations show no greater levels of safety, in some cases they were less safe, according to FMCSAâs summary of research performed on the regs.
