The American Trucking Associations will present oral arguments against the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s hours-of-service rule March 15, arguing that the agency did not correctly interpret the science it used to implement that the mandatory 30-minute break be completely off-duty and did not properly disclose to the public its decision to apply the rule to short-haul delivery drivers.
The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, among others, have joined the lawsuit with the ATA as intervenors.
