Cody Holst got his start in the trucking industry four years ago after a stint in the military. He was doing some construction work at the time and “found out … there was a program I could use to get my CDL, so I went ahead and did that, and I’ve been trucking ever since,” he said.
Today, Holst is a company driver hauling cars for Tim Cody Jr. and his four-truck T&M Services fleet out of Lake Ozark, Missouri.
Holst recently got the opportunity to show the truck he drives, a 2023 Peterbilt 567, at the Peterbilt Pride & Class Parade, an invitation-only event in which certain Peterbilt customers get to show off their impressive Peterbilt builds.

When Holst is working, the truck usually pulls a 7-car Cottrell high-mount trailer, hauling cars mostly around the Midwest.
T&M’s 567 was custom designed and built by Clint Moore at Kansas City Peterbilt. It features a four-inch body drop, a NorCal air ride on the front end and sits on a 260-inch wheelbase. It also features Peterbilt 389-style cab lights and 379-style headlights.
To give the truck a “smooth look,” the lights were shaved off the fenders and the handle was shaved off the front of the hood.
Under the hood, the rig sports a 565-hp Cummins X15.

Cody Holst: My name is Cody. We're based out of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, and I drive for T&M services. We haul cars. This truck pulls a seven-car Cottrell. They're called high mounts. So instead of having a stinger over the top of it. We're just, it's a tractor-trailer combination.
Matt Cole: How'd you get into trucking yourself?
Holst: About four years ago, I got out of the military and I was doing some construction work, and I found out I could actually… there was a program I could use get my CDL. So I went ahead and did that. And I've been trucking ever since.
It's a 2023 567. It was built by Kansas City Peterbilt. Clint Moore designed it. It started off as a daycab. They cut a hole in the back wall. They put a sleeper on it. They did a four-inch body drop. It's got NorCal air ride for the front air ride. It's a 260 wheelbase.
We just had that visor built by Bub in Leavenworth, Kansas. Actually, just come and put that on last week. It's got 389 cab lights. We did the 379 headlights for it. They shaved the handle out of the front of the hood.
They put spacers behind the fuel tank so they sit a little bit wider. They shaved the lights off the fenders, so it's got that more smooth look. They reskinned the doors, so the doors and the bottom of the window sill sits about two, maybe three inches now.
Cole: Was it white when you got it?
Holst: Yes, it was white. White and red with a red frame.
Cole: Is that a standard thing in the company. Or is it something special for this truck?
Holst: Actually, both of their trucks are blue. So, it kind of sticks out all the way around.
Cole: What kind of motor you got in it?
Holst: It's a 565 X15.
