The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced it is closing this week a weigh station along I-71, along with two rest areas in early May.
The work at the three locations includes pavement repair, resurfacing and curb and sidewalk improvements.
The I-71 Southbound weigh station near Walton is closed for repairs from April 29 through May 3 at 7 a.m.
Additionally, repair work began the I-75/71 southbound rest area near Walton, and the location will be closed May 6 at 8 p.m. through May 10 at 8 a.m. The right lane of I-75 SB is also scheduled to be closed May 9 at 8 p.m. to May 10 at 11 a.m. for repairs to the rest area ramps.
Finally, the I-75/71 northbound rest area will be closed May 13 at 8 p.m. through May 17 at 8 a.m. The right lane of I-75 NB is scheduled to be closed May 16 at 7 p.m. to May 17 at 5 a.m. for repairs to the rest area ramps.
