Maggie Stone, an Iowa hog hauler, was named the winner of Overdrive’s Most Beautiful contest today at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.

Celebrity judges picked Stone Friday after meeting with her and finalists Tina Comer and Libby Clayton.

The finalists won trips to Dallas and met with show attendees at the Overdrive booth. Stone will be featured in an Overdrive cover story this year.

Overdrive launched the contest last spring to highlight professional women drivers who demonstrate inner and outer beauty and who represent the industry well. Read more about the contest and the finalists.

Stone, who has been in trucking 21 years, owns Missfit Trucking and drives a 1999 Peterbilt 379. She hauls hogs for AgFeed Industries and Dan O’Brien Trucking. She also hauls cattle.

Stone’s father, uncles and grandfather drove trucks, but she’s the first woman in her family to do so.

“Sometimes I’m my own worst enemy,” Stone says. “I’m in a man’s world, and I don’t like to ask for help, which can be difficult when you’re moving 300-pound hogs.”
