Shell Rotella Tour Offers Prizes, 'Meet and Greet' with Magazine Editors

The Shell Rotella Road Show highlights Rotella T products. A virtual reality movie shows how engines using Rotella lubricants perform in extreme conditions.

The Shell Rotella Road Show will make a special stop Nov. 7 at the Travel Centers of America on I-59/20 at Cottondale, Ala., on the outskirts of Tuscaloosa. Truckers will have a chance to meet editors from Truckers News, Overdrive and eTrucker.com and receive promotional items from Shell.

The show, which offers a surround-sound theater and interactive displays, will continue through Nov. 24 before kicking off another tour in January. The show includes a card game in which participants can scan a card to win either a pocketknife, a cap or a jacket.

The show is aimed at over-the-road truckers and consists of a 53-foot Kentucky Air Ride trailer pulled by a 2003 Peterbilt 379 truck with a Cummins ISX 475 horsepower engine.

On the tour Shell shows a virtual reality movie illustrating truck performance using Rotella T products. Viewers will watch trucks perform in the Australian Outback, at Colorado’s Pikes Peak and even on the ice roads of the Artic.

This year’s 80-city tour ends at the Sieveking in High Ridge, Mo. The road show will resume in January and end in November.
